I am a researcher in Cognitive Science who currently works as a Full Professor at the Facultad de Lenguas y Educación of the Universidad Nebrija. I’m also the Director of the Centro de Investigación Nebrija en Cognición and the International Chair in Cognitive Health.

Since I began my research career, I’ve has published more than 170 articles in the main international scientific journals, and I’ve has edited and written several books and book chapters and many articles in non-specialized journals. I’ve been appointed as an Associate Editor and Editorial Board Member of different high-impact journals too.

I’ve been the Principal Investigator in several research projects funded externally in public calls of the Government of the Community of Madrid (2019 call), the BBVA Foundation (2016 and 2022 calls), the Basque Government (2012 and 2015 calls), the Provincial Government of Gipuzkoa (2016 call), and of the Government of Spain (2012, 2015, 2018 and 2021 calls). Besides, I take active part in the research team of different international projects funded by different agencies.

I’ve also spent much of my time actively contributing to local, national and international scientific meetings by presenting a large number of posters and talks in the most recognized specialized forums in the field. I’ve also been an invited speaker at various European, Asian and American universities and at many international conferences. I’ve been included in the ranking of Spanish experimental psychologists with greater international scientific impact, and I’m listed among the top 3% of Spanish scientists of all disciplines.
